In this key role, you combine state-of-the-art software architecture with strategic business impact. You build scalable, highly available data landscapes for critical core areas such as Financial Operations, Payment and Fraud Prevention, with a direct impact on millions of customer interactions.

02 Your responsibilities

• Architecture & Vision: You design and own the end-to-end data architecture in the central order management platform and ensure its performance, scalability and resilience.
• Strategic sparring partner: You work closely with Product Owners, Software Engineers, Data Engineers and business specialists from the finance and fraud prevention teams to translate complex business requirements into elegant data models.
• Hands-on & Mentoring: You support interdisciplinary teams with architecture decisions, establish best practices for Data Governance and Data Modeling, and translate company goals into clear technical roadmaps.
• Innovation & Modernization: You continuously evaluate new technologies, modernize existing data flows (Streaming & Batch) and drive an uncompromising data-driven culture forward.

04 Your profile

• Several years of architecture expertise: In-depth experience as a Data Architect, Enterprise Architect or Lead Data Engineer in a big data or high-scale e-commerce environment.
• Excellent technical domain knowledge: Deep understanding of modern data modeling (relational, NoSQL, event-driven architectures), cloud data platforms and enterprise integrations (e.g. event streaming via Kafka, DWH/Data Lakehouse).
• Business understanding: Strong affinity for transaction data, financial data streams and risk management systems.
• Communication & assertiveness: Ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts to both development teams and management-level stakeholders.
• Languages: Fluent German and very good English skills for working in an international engineering environment.
