As IT Life at Zurich Insurance Switzerland, we ensure all insurance-specific IT services for the Life Switzerland business unit. As part of the DILI program, we provide the future IT service for handling our individual life insurance business.

In this key role, you will connect business requirements with a robust technical implementation. You will design data architectures and data products, create reliable foundations for analyses and visualizations, and work closely with business units as well as IT experts. You will have plenty of scope to contribute your own ideas and help shape the data strategy for individual life insurance.

What you can expect

• You will assume business and technical responsibility for building, further developing, and operating the analytics platform for individual life insurance based on Microsoft Azure Synapse/Fabric
• You design scalable data architectures, data products and integration solutions together with business units, Product Owners and IT experts
• You develop and operate reliable data pipelines for integrating, processing and providing data for analytics and reporting use cases
• You enable meaningful data visualizations and thereby create a reliable foundation for data-driven decisions in individual life insurance
• You ensure data quality, governance and compliance with standards throughout the entire lifecycle of our data products and continuously develop them further

What sets you apart

• University degree in computer science, business information systems or a related field, as well as at least 5 years of relevant professional experience
• Extensive experience in data management as well as in designing and implementing data integration, data preparation and data modeling solutions (Star Schema, Snowflake, Data Vault).
• Very good knowledge of the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, ideally with Microsoft Fabric, as well as experience with SQL, Python and PySpark.
• Strong conceptual and analytical skills as well as a passion for translating complex business requirements into sustainable technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English; knowledge of the life insurance business is a plus.
