Canton of Zurich Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs Prisons and Reintegration Prisons Canton of Zurich Social Worker 80% Prison and Reintegration (JuWe), as part of the Directorate of Justice and Home Affairs of the Canton of Zurich, is responsible for the execution of penalties and measures as well as the execution of various types of detention. For our 1,400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of people who have committed crimes, the prevention of recidivism and the detention and preparation of the departure of persons without a valid residence permit are of particular importance. The Bachtel Prison Center (VZB) is one of the prison institutions of the Canton of Zurich (VEZ) – one of seven main departments of the JuWe – and is an institution specialized in the open execution of prison sentences and substitute prison sentences. The VZB offers space for more than 90 detained persons. Immediately or by agreement, we are looking for an experienced, committed and socially competent person for our social service. Your area of influence

• Accompanying and advising detainees on personal and factual matters
• Resource-oriented support during implementation, if necessary incl. Accompaniment in the daily structure Integration Implementation (IVO)
• Activation and promotion of detained persons with special needs in the various structures of the VZB (normal and special prison with individual settings)
• Preparation of easing of enforcement (e.g. leave) and conditional dismissal, planning of enforcement, implementation report
• Close interdisciplinary cooperation within the framework of transition management with internal and external partners
• Accompaniment of interns and pre-practitioners Your profile
• Completed studies in social work as well as professional experience in dealing with mentally ill and addictive clients
• Strong empathy, assertiveness and teamwork
• High flexibility and openness to new challenges
• Readiness for continuous professional and personal training in order to meet the changing demands of the modern prison system
• Very good oral and written knowledge of German and knowledge of other languages
• Safe handling of MS365
• Advantageous if practical training is available
