In our accredited development and type testing laboratories in Zurich-Oerlikon, we test high-voltage devices and systems for electrical insulation and nominal current carrying capacity. As a laboratory technician (m\/f\/d), you are an important part of product development and certification. They work directly on the experimental implementation and contribute to designing innovative solutions for the energy future. You can achieve this by assembling, setting up and connecting test objects and test equipment in the high-voltage and high-current laboratory control of delivered test pieces and completion according to documentation and drawings Setting up and calibration of measuring chains in cooperation with test engineers Independent implementation and documentation of small tests according to specifications Maintenance and maintenance of operating equipment, equipment and tools Compliance and enforcement of internal laboratory and safety guidelines Care of assigned trainees and support in the development of new test methods You bring this with completed technical training (e.g. mechanic, electromechanic or automation technician) 2–3 years of professional experience in a comparable environment Very good knowledge of German, knowledge of English beneficial enthusiasm for technical challenges and a flexible way of working More about us Hitachi Energy is a global leader in energy and automation technologies. How you'll make an impact Assembly, setup, and connection of test objects and testing equipment in the high-voltage and high-current laboratory Inspection of delivered test items and completion in accordance with documentation and technical drawings Setup and calibration of measurement chains in collaboration with test engineers Independent execution and documentation of smaller tests according to to specifications Maintenance and care of equipment, instruments, and tools Compliance with and enforcement of internal laboratory and safety regulations Supervision of assigned trainees and support in developing new testing methods Your background Completed technical training (e.g., mechanic, electromechanical technician, or automation technician) 2–3 years of professional experience in a comparable environment Very good German language skills
