In the north of the city of Zurich - in Seebach - we open the Birch daycare centre in spring 2027 with three groups for children from 3 months to kindergarten admission. As of 1 October 2026, we are looking for a motivated, energetic personality who, with a focus on early childhood education, is involved in the development and co-creation of the daycare centre from the very beginning.

Tasks

• You take over the pedagogical, personnel and organizational leadership of the Birch Kita within the framework of the overarching conceptual and structural requirements.
• You take on tasks in the area of quality assurance, further development and implementation of the pedagogical concepts or offers and participate in cross-critical working groups.
• You work closely with parents as well as with actors of the quarter.
• You are responsible for organizational, planning, maintenance and controlling tasks.
• You work on projects and develop concepts.

Profile

• Training in childhood education HF, social education/social work HF/FH or comparable degree as well as experience in managing a nursery and corresponding further training in the area of management/leadership (Depending on the previous training path, one of the two qualifications can be acquired part-time.)
• Experience in situation- and education-oriented daycare pedagogy (BuLG, infans, situational approach, pikler)
• Joy of self-organized and structured work
• Independent, communicative and resilient personality who likes to take responsibility
• Excellent administrative and organizational skills as well as an experienced handling of IT

The Birch daycare centre offers 36 day places for children, including places for children with special care. Cross-group work in which children from different cultures can discover the world by including aspects of early childhood education, care and education is the pedagogical focus.
