Since August 2026, a new school building with a day school at the secondary level has been in operation on Zurichberg. Around 200 students will find space for learning, growing and living together. In the first school year, the school is run with 5 classes, from summer 2027 with 8-9 classes. As a young day school, we shape our school day with pioneering spirit, optimism and fresh ideas. Community and relationship strength shape our cooperation, while close cooperation forms the basis for a holistic and sustainable learning of our students. We are looking for a social pedagogue who reaches young people even when school is difficult, wins them with empathy and persistence for new steps and, together with them, their parents as well as teachers and carers, shapes ways back into everyday school life.

• You have patience, perseverance and sensitivity and remain solution-oriented even in challenging situations.
• You can endure resistance and ambivalence without taking it personally.
• You think networked and systemic, communicate clearly and appreciatively and bring different perspectives together.
• You are self-initiative, creative and self-reflected and like to work interdisciplinary.

Profile

• Completed training as a social pedagogue (HFS, FH or similar) and professional experience in working with young people
• You also build sustainable and trusting relationships with young people who have retired from school and adults.
• You awaken motivation, make resources visible and win young people step by step for change.
• Together with young people, you develop individual paths back into everyday school life and stay tuned for setbacks.
• You actively involve the youth environment and promote cooperation with parents, teachers, school social work and other specialists.
• You empower young people to develop confidence in themselves, discover their own perspectives and initiate sustainable change.

Your assignment days are expected: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (working hours by appointment). You work as part of an annual working period. During the semester, your workload is more than your contractual workload

• You compensate for the additional working hours during school holidays. On Tuesday afternoon, after completing classes, you will participate in the school team’s sessions and other session vessels.

About us

The Zurichberg School District comprises districts 1, 7 and 8 with the districts Altstadt, Fluntern, Hottingen, Hirslanden, Riesbach and Witikon. The district school authority manages 18 school houses. These are connected to 43 kindergartens and over 40 care facilities of different sizes. Of the 14 organizational units, 11 are day schools.
