In this function, you monitor the operation of our waste recycling plant and make the right decisions with your know-how in the event of any abnormalities. With your commitment, you also contribute to achieving the climate goals of the city of Zurich, make an important contribution to a functioning circular economy and assume responsibility in one of the largest, modern urban service departments.

Tasks

• You control and monitor the demanding plant operation in 3-shift operation via process control system (PLS), initiate measures in case of deviations and keep a production journal.
• You carry out checks and functional checks of individual plant areas, put individual subsystems or entire plant parts into or out of operation, implement plant activations and document your procedure.
• You are the first point of contact for information of any kind (alerts, disturbances, events), do it yourself or forward it and request maintenance work using IH software.
• You are responsible for accepting equipment and loading residues from the combustion process.

Profile

• Mechanical or electrical vocational training (EFZ level) as well as further training as a heating plant guide with federal certificate or willingness to complete this further training with our support
• Several years of professional experience in a shift operation, advantageous in the field of process engineering (thermal) plants
• Experience working with a process control system as well as good PC application knowledge (MS-Office)
• Willingness to familiarize yourself with our complex waste recycling plant and the different processes as well as enjoying an independent, self-responsible activity
