ICT System Engineer Linux
- 80-100%

Your tasks
- You ensure the reliable operation of Linux systems throughout the entire lifecycle, from installation and configuration to patches and upgrades to replacement
- You will analyze, develop and implement challenging and important IT operational projects in the area of Linux, infrastructures and applications – sometimes as part of the team and sometimes independently
- As a 2nd level support, you monitor the Linux servers, network components (virtual and physical) and applications you use, carry out error analyses, maintain and document the system landscape (in a meaningful framework).
- You automate recurring operational and administration tasks, especially with Ansible and shell scripting
- You operate and optimize Linux infrastructures including file systems, storage connections and system resources
- As part of the company, you ensure IT security through hardening, patch management and vulnerability resolution
- You monitor and control several key suppliers for Linux and infrastructure services and selected applications
- In our SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) processes and ceremonies you coordinate content with the other company colleagues and become an important part of our Agile Release Train
You bring with you
- Completed training as computer scientist/platform development (EFZ) or equivalent qualification
- At least 2 years of experience with Windows and Linux servers, data networks and IT infrastructure
- Experience in application management of various applications
- Good knowledge of network technologies such as TCP/IP, VLAN and DHCP are a matter of course for you. Practice with DNS, VPN, ports and network drives
- Ideally, experience in collaboration with agile development and basic knowledge of DevOps methodologies
- First experiences in the use of AI and openness to use AI to make your everyday life much more efficient
- Experience in Powershell and Azure-Cli
- Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting and performance analysis of Linux systems
- Knowledge of storage, file systems, LVM as well as backup and restore
