As an ICT System Engineer, you manage the WAF/IDP infrastructure in the security-critical police environment.

You ensure stable, secure and efficient operation, support projects and contribute your know-how to the further development of our WAF/IDP systems.

Your role

  • Design, implementation and configuration of Web Application Firewall (WAF) and Identity Provider (IDP) solutions
  • Creating and fine-tuning Web Application Firewalls and the WAF Rule Engine
  • Integration of single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA) and federated identities (SAML, OIDC) into the WAM infrastructure
  • Analysis of security logs, identification of attack patterns (false-positive reduction) and support in resolving security incidents
  • Ensuring compliance with service management and change management requirements
  • Responsibility for upgrades, patching and performance optimization of systems in a high availability environment
  • Advising application managers and developers on the secure connection of their services as well as close cooperation with the SOC (Security Operations Center), as well as external partners Your profile
  • Successfully completed training in computer science (HF, FH, Master) or a comparable qualification as well as several years of professional experience
  • Deep experience with market-leading WAF solutions
  • In-depth knowledge of access management systems
  • Expert knowledge in HTTP/S, SSL/TLS (certificate management), TCP/IP and modern authentication protocols (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML 2.0)
  • Experience in performing vulnerability analysis and a deep understanding of web technologies (APIs, JSON, REST)
  • Independent, solution-oriented and structured working method
  • Teamwork, customer orientation, as well as commitment and willingness for continuous further education
  • Ability to act calmly and goal-oriented in critical situations and also be available outside regular working hours (e.g.
