Full description

• Cleaning up and development of physical holdings of the documentation service Agroscope (scientific books, journals, etc.), as required work in the library system Alma
• Assistance in various projects of the documentation service (publication repository, access to literature, development of archive, etc.)
• Support of the scientific documentation service in everyday business (e.g. answering orders and inquiries from researchers)
• Identification of historically valuable documents as well as collection and compilation of documents for digitization
• Missions (working hours) to various locations (in particular Liebefeld BE, Posieux FR, Changins VD)
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Science or History (degree before max. 18 months) or equivalent education
• Knowledge of library access to physical and electronic holdings of advantage
• Knowledge of the Alma library system and the swisscovery search platform is an advantage
• Careful, independent, committed and persistent working methods
• Interest in applied research in agriculture and food
• Good knowledge of two official languages and English
