The Center for Law and Economics at ETH Zurich deals with empirical and experimental research in the field of legal economics and AI & law. At the Center, Prof. Stefan Bechtold is looking for an assistant with an interest in IP, data protection, antitrust, Internet and/or AI law.

We are an interdisciplinary team that deals with issues of intellectual property, data protection, antitrust, Internet and AI law as well as economic analysis of law.

Job description

They support us in research and teaching. Your responsibilities may include:

• Support in the implementation of empirical and experimental projects
• Literature research
• Assistance in the preparation of lecture materials and the preparation and implementation of examinations in IP and IT law

The working time is 20 hours / month, outside the semester a higher level of employment is possible.

Profile

• You study law at the University of Zurich, the University of St. Gallen or another university in the area of Zurich
• You are at an advanced stage of your bachelor’s degree or at the beginning of your master’s degree
• You have knowledge of at least one, preferably several, of the following areas of law: material goods law, data protection law, antitrust law, Internet law and/or AI law
• You are interested in an interdisciplinary environment and participation in a dynamic and international team
• You are interested in learning about new areas of law and technology
• They are interested in empirical research methods, have excellent academic success and very good knowledge of German and English and are interested in the research areas of the Center for Law & Economics
