• Collaboration in the SwissOnion research project in the field of breeding research and pre-breeding of onions
• Compilation, documentation and characterisation of a diversity panel of Allium cepa and related species
• Cooperation in the phenotypic characterisation of onion material under field, greenhouse or climatic chamber conditions
• Support for the design, implementation and evaluation of trait development tests, in particular disease resistance and stress traits
• Recently completed (maximum 12 months) Bachelor's or Master's degree in agronomy, biology or related field
• Engaged, collaborative and communicative personality with an interest in plant breeding, genetic resources and applied agricultural research
• Enjoy practical work with plant material as well as the combination of laboratory, greenhouse and field work
• Careful, structured and independent working method
• Good computer and statistical knowledge, driving licence Cat. B is advantageous
• Knowledge of two official languages and English
