About the team Swiss Re Gastronomie is part of Corporate Real Estate & Services (CRES) Zurich and, with around 150 employees, ensures a high-quality, economically viable and future-oriented catering and hospitality offering for more than 3,000 employees, managers and internal and external guests. The focus is on consistent customer and host orientation, efficient operations, clear organizational structures, uniform quality standards and the continuous development of innovative, healthy and sustainable food and beverage concepts. Their main tasks Head Swiss Re Gastronomy is a member of the Executive Team CRES Zurich. The main tasks are:

• Overall responsibility for Swiss Re Gastronomy with around 150 employees at Mythenquai and Rüschlikon locations as well as ensuring a high-quality, economical and future-oriented catering offer for an average of around 2,000 employees and guests.
• Strategic management and further development of the gastronomy along the company’s goals, including management and implementation of projects and cross-divisional initiatives within CRES Zurich.
• Leadership and development of leaders and talents, including performance management, coaching and succession planning.
• Financial and operational management with responsibility for budget, costs, productivity, resource use as well as efficient operations and uniform quality standards.
• Continuous development of offers and guest experience based on guest needs, trends, sustainability requirements, feedback and relevant key figures.
• Ensuring quality, safety and compliance, in particular in the areas of food hygiene, occupational safety, health protection and risk and compliance management.

Additional tasks

• Active participation and implementation of the global strategy for sustainable gastronomy and support for implementation at various locations in Europe, Asia and America
• Member of the Incident Management Team (Crisis Staff) Zurich

They bring with them

• Several years of leadership and management experience in the catering, hotel industry, hospitality or a comparable service environment, with responsibility for larger organizational units across several hierarchical levels.
• Passionate about modern gastronomy and a strong understanding of current trends in guest experience, wellbeing, sustainability, employer branding and digitalization.
• High customer, service and host orientation combined with a secure feeling for different stakeholders and stakeholders.
• Strong financial and entrepreneurial understanding and high affinity for numbers
• Ability to reliably analyze budgets and relevant key figures, identify economic relationships and derive sound management and optimization measures from them.
• Resilience, decision-making strength and a strong sense of responsibility
• Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing

For Switzerland, the basic salary range for this position is between CHF 136,000 and CHF 204,000 (for a full-time position). The specific salary offered takes into account:

• the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role;
• the profile of the applicant, including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.

In addition to the basic salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive, performance-related variable compensation component that recognises your services.
