Main responsibilities

  • Main tasks and responsibilities
  • Follow-up and development of the global strategy for restoration and related services for EPFL as a pioneer in sustainability, economics and federal exemplaryness.
  • It is guided by goals of nutritional quality and health, carbon footprint reduction aligned with the objectives of the Confederation and EPFL, and tariff accessibility especially for the Student Community.
  • This includes service contracts and rent leases and compliance with applicable public procurement laws and directives.
  • Definition of specifications and tenders, as well as criteria for evaluating catering providers within EPFL's scope of responsibility.
  • Follow-up of corresponding contractual commitments and various monitoring mandates (finance, hygiene, quality of services, satisfaction surveys).
  • Implementation of a quality control and satisfaction monitoring strategy.
  • Coordination of service activities with other EPFL services, including operations and safety, prevention and health of EPFL and infrastructure development.
  • Implementation and monitoring of digital tools for complete food monitoring in the context of restoration, including financial, nutritional, and environmental parameters.
  • Maintenance and development of participatory governance instruments involving the EPFL Community, including the Restoration Commission, award commissions and other dialogue groups with students, faculties and other vice-chairs.
