The market risk of the Zürcher Kantonalbank is a well-established crew of specialists – with one mission: to understand risks and P&L in trading in depth and make them transparent. Our tasks are as varied as we are: we conduct an active risk dialogue with trading, monitor market and counterparty risks, prepare reports, calculate regulatory indicators and constantly develop our tools with our own engineering team. For the management of our 5-member market risk analysis team, we are looking for an ambitious and experienced personality. Discover the breadth of our trading business, from structured products to FX and fixed income trading to collateral trading and liquidity management. Your tasks

• You lead, coach and develop further to create a positive, ambitious work culture together
• You are responsible for the daily reporting and analysis of market risk indicators and trading P&L
• Analyze the risk profile of trading books against the background of trading strategy and market developments
• You conduct a risk dialogue with the trade every day and hold a meeting with the management team of the trade every week (discussion risk profile, challenge of positioning)
• You prepare reports to the CRO and the bank’s risk committees (regular and ad hoc)
• You maintain a regular exchange with treasury and accounting on selected trading topics
• You ensure the independent evaluation of trading products (IPV) and regularly make an assessment of evaluation uncertainties
• For large or complex transactions, you carry out preventive risk assessments
• You participate in projects and working groups for the further development of our tools and trade-related processes
• You have an above-average university degree in a STEM subject or in finance/economics (additional finance education such as CFA or FRM desired)
• You have several years of professional experience in market risk or in a trading-related function, as well as ideally experience with options and structured products
• Financial markets and trading are your passion and you have a deep understanding of the structure, participants and usages of international financial markets
• You have experience in leading specialist teams and can motivate your employees and lead them to top performance
• You are IT-savvy and have in-depth knowledge of trading systems, ideally Front Arena
• Your strengths include strong analytical-conceptual skills
• You appear confident, have a critical mindset and convince with your argumentation skills
• It is easy for you to communicate concisely and professionally – in German and English – and to present complex topics in an understandable and convincing way.
