Are you motivated by the idea of participating in strategically relevant topics, driving transformation in the life business, using AI opportunities to make internal processes more efficient and secure – and gaining insight into decisions at the top management level?

In this role, you are part of the Life business unit in the area of Strategy & Transformation at Zurich Switzerland. You support the Life Transformation Team in translating strategic initiatives into a Target Operating Model (TOM), with which we make processes more efficient and transfer BVG-relevant calculation tools into a centralized, auditable application. You work with Head Life Transformation and other stakeholders from business, risk and compliance and make an important contribution to the further development of our life business.

This is what awaits you

• You design and control strategic transformation programs in the operational life business and support our AI specialist in the identification and design of value-creating AI use cases.
• You define the Target Operating Model (TOM) to make processes and calculation steps in BVG Underwriting & Pricing more efficient and robust, and translate it into concrete work packages and realistic milestones.
• You create transparency about program status, progress, dependencies and risks, derive the necessary need for action and decision-making and provide user-friendly decision-making bases for top management.
• You bring together stakeholders from business, IT, risk and compliance, manage cooperation with senior management and operational units and coordinate central program dates as well as workshops and events.
• Depending on your profile, you’ll help transform fragmented Excel and VBA solutions into centralized, modular Python applications with databases and interfaces, and help replace manual controls with automated solutions and, where appropriate, AI.

This sets you apart

• Several years of experience in the implementation and control of larger programs, strategically derived projects or complex change projects in the insurance or financial services environment as well as in the definition and implementation of target operating models (TOM) – including business value classification and clear minimum acceptance requirements
• Experience in model and tool governance, tool testing, user acceptance testing (UAT) of Python and AI solutions as well as in validation methods is an advantage
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills to quickly grasp complex relationships, comprehend them in a comprehensible way, translate them into concrete work steps and advance themes in a structured way
• Sovereign stakeholder management at different hierarchical levels, experience in cooperation with senior and top management as well as very good knowledge in program control, management reporting and the preparation of decision bases
• Technical understanding and practical experience with Python applications
• Additional knowledge in programming languages and tools such as R, SQL or VBA as well as experience in the integration of AI are beneficial
