In this responsible role, you will take on a wide range of tasks related to grid operations and make an important contribution to the secure supply of electricity to the City of Zürich.
Tasks
- As part of a team of six specialists, you work with grid control and calculation systems and thus contribute to a secure electricity supply.
- You plan, review and approve switching orders in the medium- and high-voltage grid and issue switching instructions.
- You write documents and instructions in polished German for employees in the City of Zürich’s distribution grid area.
- You independently manage smaller projects and participate in larger projects as a representative of grid operations.
- After comprehensive onboarding, you provide on-call duty (Pikett) approximately eight times a year and, in the event of a supply outage, lead the coordination of incident management.
Profile
- Building on your basic training in electrical engineering with an EFZ (e.g. electrical installer or automation technician), you have completed a degree (FH or HF) in electrical or energy engineering.
- Ideally, you have already gained professional experience in medium or high voltage during or after your studies.
- Experience in grid calculation and operational management will be an added advantage.
- You keep a cool head even in stressful situations and, when on call (Pikett), can reach Zürich Oerlikon within 30 minutes.
- Your reliable and resilient nature is just as convincing as your service-oriented and forward-looking way of working.
