As Head of Care Specialties, you will actively develop care at USZ. Together with your medical and business partners, you are responsible for the interprofessional management of a medical field. Together with your team, you ensure an efficient and quality-oriented implementation of the USZ strategy.

The University Hospital Zurich is one of the largest hospitals in Switzerland. Our more than 8,600 employees and around 700 trainees work every day for the well-being of our patients. Tasks: • Leadership & Development: Direct management and development of a dedicated team of around 7 managers as well as indirect management of around 1200 employees in the entire area. • Responsibility & impact: overall responsibility for the strategic, human and economic development of the area as well as ensuring the agreed objectives. • Innovation & Projects: Initiation, management and successful implementation of cross-divisional and USZ-wide projects with a sustainable impact. • Care development: Active participation and further development of your area according to the principles of care at USZ. • Education & junior staff: Securing the educational mission and promoting education, further education and further training. • Design & Change: Active participation in transformation processes as well as in the further development of structures, processes and organizational forms. Requirements • They have a degree at FH/HF level in the area of nursing as well as further management training at MAS or MSc level. In addition, you bring an NDS in intensive care, anesthesia or emergency care or have appropriate experience in the surgical field. • They bring at least five years of top-level management experience in a hospital and have successfully led teams across multiple hierarchical levels. • Strategy development and change management are familiar and lived skills for you. • They have an established network in the hospital sector as well as in the wider health environment.
