Job description

• Actively shape the further development of our special libraries in the center. In this versatile leadership function, you combine contemporary personnel management with forward-looking digital skills. The focus is on the further development of services for teaching and research.
• For the special libraries of the ETH Library in the center, we are looking for a committed, visionary and communication-strong personality. In this versatile function, you combine classic management tasks with innovative information transfer. The digital transformation of the ETH Library is in full swing. Therefore, you are required to have a high affinity for topics such as AI applications or LMS.
• In the field of information literacy, you work closely with related teams when designing modern courses and competently communicate them to our users (students & researchers).
• In addition, a close cooperation and network maintenance with the Department of Environmental Systems Sciences is a central part of your work. An affinity for this specialist environment is advantageous here.
• Collaboration in the operational activities of libraries is a matter of course for you and an enrichment of your everyday work.
• Your long-term perspective: We offer you the opportunity to further develop your skills, to strategically network and to take on tasks in the area of liaison services in the course of a regulated retirement succession.

Profile

• Education & Leadership: You have completed university studies. Additional library education or information science studies are advantageous. Leadership experience is required.
• Technology & AI affinity: You have a strong interest in digital trends, especially the possibilities and application of AI in information research and scientific writing.
• Mediation skills: You have convincing communication skills and a high level of performance skills. Affinity to didactics and adult education or the willingness to continue your education in this field.
• Languages: You have very good knowledge of German and English.
• Personality: You are open to change and appreciate collaboration in a dynamic, academic environment.
