The Functional Genomics Center Zurich (FGCZ) is a joint research and service center of ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich. The FGCZ supports with the latest analytical technologies and application expertise research projects of the working groups in natural sciences and medicine of both universities. For our administrative team of the FGCZ, we are looking for reinforcement in the area of finance and accounting immediately or by agreement.

Project background

In this role, you work closely with a colleague and with the accounting and controlling departments of ETH and UZH, as well as with the center’s suppliers and users.

Job description

• Implementation of internal and external service billing incl. Recording in accounting systems at ETH and University of Zurich, shipping and communication with debtors
• Pre-recording and filing of creditors' invoices in FGCZ's own and ETH and UZH systems incl. Communication with FGCZ Lab Manager and external suppliers
• Transfer and addition of SAP data in the internal systems of the FGCZ

Profile

• Enrolled:r Business Administration Bachelor or Master student:in

KV graduate:in

• Analytical thinking, affinity for numbers
• Good knowledge of German and English (minimum B2 in word and writing)
• Interest or experience working with different IT systems (SAP and other internal systems)
• Good knowledge of Excel

As a motivated, reliable and committed person, you have an independent way of working and are used to doing your tasks precisely, conscientiously and efficiently. Your quick comprehension, proven service orientation and a pronounced flair for numbers make you a reliable team player.

Place of work

We offer

We offer an interesting and varied activity in an international team at the center of the scientific environment. You will gain insight into the accounting processes of two universities. After training, you will be able to work independently and can flexibly arrange your working hours (by agreement). The employment is limited to 12 months with an option of renewal. We are interested in long-term cooperation. Your place of work is the University Campus Irchel in Zurich with excellent infrastructure.
