Did you know that the city of Zurich has a water supply network of around 1,550 km? By taking care of this network, our dedicated team of around 50 pipe network installers makes an important contribution to the high quality of life of the city of Zurich. Would you also like to actively engage in the «Züriwasser», together with us? Do you want to develop personally and professionally? Then we should get to know each other. For the new production, extension and maintenance work of drinking water pipes (including house connections), we are looking for new reinforcements by agreement.
Tasks
- After a comprehensive introduction, you will undertake various pipeline construction and repair work on varied pipelines and other projects such as house connections in the city.
- They are significantly involved in the construction of house supply lines and thus ensure a reliable water supply for our inhabitants.
- With precision, you measure pipe parts independently and take care of water shutdowns responsibly.
- After your training, you perform recurring (about 6 times a year, one week each) pikettdienst and thus contribute to the care in the event of an incident.
- You will work with other pipework specialists in the team and gain new work experience on impressive pipework systems (~50 mm to over 2 m in diameter); an exciting challenge that goes beyond the classical sanitary and pipeline construction sector.
Profile
- A completed vocational apprenticeship EFZ in the field of sanitary, heating, metal construction or construction crafts
- A present further development as a pipe network fitter*in with federal law. The technical card is advantageous; or you are ready to acquire this qualification with us (needed for exercise; supported by employer)
- Working outdoors in any weather is not a challenge for you, but a welcome change
- Your teamwork, your high quality and safety awareness and your commitment distinguish you
- They are flexible, ready to play and ideally at home in the City of Zurich region
- You have a category B driving licence and a good knowledge of German
