With around 350 employees, the bathing and ice facilities division is responsible for the operation of around 21 indoor and outdoor pools as well as two ice plants. The maintenance and safety area ensures the technically flawless and safe operation of these facilities.

For maintenance and security we are looking for 1. January 2027 or by agreement a committed and independent personality as a specialist in electrical bath technology and ice plants.

Tasks

• You maintain the bath water treatment facilities of your assigned indoor and outdoor pools and initiate appropriate measures if necessary.
• They are professionally responsible for the electrical installations and controls of the bathing and ice plants and solve technical problems independently.
• They maintain and repair ventilation, heating, sanitary and other building installations in the halls, outdoor pools and ice plants.
• They train and instruct bathing staff in technical and safety-related areas such as bathing water technology/chemistry.
• During the bathing season, they provide piquetting services in accordance with Pikettre regulations.

Profile

• Basic technical training Electrical installer EFZ with company electrician licence according to art. 13 NIV or willingness to acquire it
• Professional permit for the disinfection of bathing water in community baths (VFB DB) or willingness to purchase it
• Experience in bathing water, ice or building technology as well as good knowledge of MS 365
• Driving licence at least category B
• Independent and reliable working methods with a pronounced service orientation and good communication skills in word and writing

About us

The Sports Department is a service department of the School and Sports Department of the City of Zurich. It is the competence centre for sports promotion and provides the active population and clubs, sports facilities as well as indoor and outdoor pools. The organisation of compulsory swimming lessons and voluntary school sports are also core tasks of the Sports Office. With targeted information, the Sports Office motivates more movement and advises and supports the sports organizations.
