In the role of Senior Process Excellence Expert, you are part of the Information & Technology business unit in the area of Enterprise Architecture & Planning at Zurich Switzerland.

In this key role, you will take on the professional leadership in the expansion of Process Excellence in the Enterprise Architecture of Zurich Switzerland. You act at the interface between business and IT and work directly with departments and management teams outside of IT. Together with the departments, you develop binding standards, clear responsibilities and a consistent view of the end-to-end processes, shape the cooperation between central control and decentralized implementation and actively participate in projects and process initiatives. You will moderate cross-divisional workshops, accompany changes within the framework of organizational change management and continuously develop our methods on the basis of practical knowledge.

• You shape the overarching process architecture and develop the cooperation model for process excellence with clear roles, standards and decision-making rights, supporting the end-to-end process managers and the management teams in fulfilling their role and anchoring joint working methods sustainably in the company.
• You build up the Process Excellence Council as a cross-divisional steering committee, carry out its work professionally and prepare decisions for prioritizing process improvements, bundle process requirements from the specialist areas, make dependencies and conflicts of goals visible and coordinate the process agenda with existing governance and portfolio structures
• You will develop a common process understanding that combines the requirements of business, risk management, compliance and IT. You balance customer benefit, cost-effectiveness and risk and compliance requirements and create the basis for making changes in the company understandable and sustainable.
• You actively participate in strategic projects and process initiatives, design end-to-end processes and support the teams in clarifying cross-divisional dependencies and resolving technical conflicts of interest, design and moderate workshops with process managers, departments, management teams, risk management and IT and develop concrete improvements together with them, implementable target images and accompany their implementation within the framework of organizational change management.
• Together with the business units and finance, you establish a uniform framework for process key figures, transaction costs and benefit measurement, so you create transparency for well-founded decisions and continuously develop key figure-based process control.

This sets you apart

• University degree in business informatics, business administration, business engineering, organisational or business development or a related field or comparable qualification
• Extensive experience in process architecture, business process management or process excellence as well as proven practice in building governance and collaboration models at the company level
• Experience in the management of cross-divisional change projects and the ability to attract different stakeholders – including management teams – towards common goals, reach binding agreements and embed sustainable change
• In-depth experience in the insurance environment and a good understanding of central end-to-end business processes – from sales and underwriting to contract management to property and service processing; an advantage. Knowledge of key figures-based process control, the economic evaluation of process improvements and the integration of risks and controls in business processes are a plus
• Strong conceptual, analytical and decision-oriented skills as well as convincing communication and moderation skills in German and English
