Secure networks are not created by chance, they need a strong architecture, modern security solutions and people who take responsibility. This is where you come in. In this role (Focus Network Security), you combine deep network know-how with modern IT security expertise. You take on the professional or operational responsibility for our network landscape (based on Swisscom Cisco SDA / EC WAN) and at the same time actively shape the further development of our security services. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, external partners and our architecture and engineering teams. • Analysis and evaluation of security risks in the SWICA environment
• Conception and tuning of our security policies, especially in the network area
• Driving further development of existing security platforms and services instead of just "further development"
• Lead function as a security expert in strategic projects
• Advising internal stakeholders on security requirements and security solutions
• Professional coordination of the security engineering environment and sparring partner for team management
• Professional responsibility for our OnPrem network landscape (LAN, WAN, Internet) including operational operations – from incident tickets to change management to solving network-related incidents
• Architectural development of modern network architectures – joint target image design with the IT architecture – SASE, SD-WAN, WLAN, network segmentation and zone concepts
• Active management of our network provider and network partner
• Knowledge transfer and professional mentoring in the IT Security and Network Engineering Team This sets you apart
• Education or studies in computer science or information security
• At least 5 years of experience in the field of IT Security and Network Engineering
• Very good knowledge of enterprise networks, network technologies and protocols, security solutions such as firewalls, VPN, DDoS, etc.
• Experience with Microsoft Defender Suite or Sentinel is beneficial
• Scripting and automation knowledge (e.g. Python, PowerShell), experience with infrastructure as code or security automation is an advantage
• Structured, analytical and independent working method
• Enjoy communicating technical topics in an understandable way and taking on professional responsibility
