- Our Linux team forms the technical backbone for the digital services of the Zürcher Kantonalbank.
- Together with us, you will run and develop the platform on which centralized applications, services and security solutions run – from classic Linux servers to containerized workloads on Kubernetes/OpenShift.
- In an environment with the growing importance of infrastructure-as-code, automation and cybersecurity, you will help shape a modern, highly automated infrastructure and platform landscape and bring your expertise to Linux, automation and software development. Your tasks
- Responsible for the entire life cycle of our Linux-based server and platform infrastructure from conception and construction to implementation and operation, optimization and continuous development
- Participate in the design and construction of our new virtualization platform
Company and context
- Implementation of technical and organizational measures to reduce cyber risks in the infrastructure and platform environment
- Automate the entire server lifecycle including provisioning, patching and decommissioning as well as developing reusable automation services and internal APIs
- Operation and development of our automation and orchestration tools (e.g. GitLab CI/CD, Kubernetes/OpenShift)
- Design and implement APIs, CLI tools and service components to provide other teams with easy and secure self-service access to infrastructure
- Analyze and correct faults as well as carry out systematic root cause analyses including sustainable correction in the form of improvements to automation, hardening and interfaces
- Assuming piquetting services in the context of infrastructure operation
- Completed computer science training or equivalent qualification with a focus on systems engineering, DevOps or software engineering
- Many years of professional experience as DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer or Platform Engineer, ideally in a Red Hat-based environment
- Secure handling of OpenShift or Kubernetes, as well as experience with Git, container technologies as well as CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code
- In-depth knowledge of at least one programming language such as Python or Go as well as ability to develop maintainable code for tools, interfaces and automation
