As a Data Engineer in the Medical Data Products team, you can ensure that clinical data can be used reliably, safely and efficiently. You develop and operate modern data solutions, integrate new data sources and ensure the sustainable provision of data for different fields of application. This will provide the technical basis for data-based processes and decisions in healthcare. Zurich University Hospital is one of the largest hospitals in Switzerland.

Tasks

• Operation and continuous development of our clinical data platform and data products based on it
• Development and maintenance of interfaces, data pipelines and integration solutions
• Detection, integration and harmonizing of new data sources
• Analysis of data requirements and development and implementation of suitable data solutions with specialist departments and stakeholders
• Secure data quality, traceability and reliable operating processes
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation, architectural and operational concepts

Requirements

• University or Fachhochschule degree in computer science, medical computer science or a similar subject
• Multi-year experience in data engineering, as well as in the development and operation of information-oriented solutions
• Well-founded knowledge of SQL, C# with.NET, data modelling and processing large amounts of data with SSIS, Spark, dbt and Airflow as well as the implementation of Power BI Reports
• Experience with data integration and streaming technologies and the construction of robust data pipelines
• Good knowledge of Python, Java or similar technologies and interest in modern platform, cloud and DevOps topics
• Structured and self-responsible working methods and a high awareness of data quality, data protection and sustainable solution architectures
