Full description

• Analyze data flows of rural landscape monitoring (e.g. satellite, weather, soil-related) through machine learning
• Analyse Earth observation data flows (e.g. satellite, weather, soil-related) through machine learning
• Integrate remote sensing data to environmental data to analyze the impact of land use on the agricultural landscape
• Publication of scientific and practical publications (in English and German), reports and papers
• (Co)develop and manage projects and potentially acquire third-party means, support and supervise students
• Contribute to the development of the Agricultural Landscape Intelligence System by Agroscope
• PhD in Agricultural Sciences/Agronomy, Plant physiology or Environmental Sciences
• Approach to work oriented to solutions, motivated and autonomous; positive attitude to support and collaboration with colleagues
• Experience and interest in developing viable solutions and communicating them to stakeholders, for example through reports and presentations (scientific)
• Python programming language mastery, proven and solid skills in the field of machine learning
• The experience in spatial data processing and remote sensing is preferential title
• Knowledge of two official languages and oral and written English
