Description

The City of Zurich's Social Services are undergoing change: Following the reorganization of their organizational structure at the beginning of 2026, the future design of this function is being developed as part of a project. For a fixed-term replacement from January 2027 to December 2027, we are looking for a committed individual to support the Head of the Selnau and Albisriederhaus Social Centres in her varied management duties and gain an exciting insight into the work of the city administration.

Responsibilities

• You ensure management and project management support for the Head of the Social Centres. This includes a wide range of planning and decision-preparation tasks for the management bodies.
• You are responsible for the efficient operation of the centre secretariat and supervise a secretarial employee.
• You are responsible for the premises and infrastructure matters of the Social Centre, as well as for health protection and safety issues. You also handle external complaints, working closely with the department head responsible for the site.
• You shape internal communication, ensure an open flow of information to employees, and conduct internal training sessions and events.
• As part of a committed and collegial management body, you contribute to the strategic and operational development of the organizational unit encompassing the Selnau and Albisriederhaus Social Centres.

Profile

• A completed university or university of applied sciences degree; experience in staff or assistant roles is an advantage.
• A strong service orientation, a quick grasp, as well as resilience and flexibility.
• Self-motivation and a structured, independent approach to work.
• A confident and polished command of spoken and written German, as well as very good knowledge of MS Office and MS Teams.
