Tasks
- 63% with shared class teacher responsibility, 16 lessons
- Lessons at a mixed-age middle grade 4.-6. Primary
- an additional 1x participation in the midday care and 1x task hour
- Planning, preparation and conduct of standard instruction
- Cooperation with job partners, with the school management, external specialist departments and the guardians
Profile
- Have a teaching diploma for primary education recognised in Switzerland
- Enjoy teaching and working with students from different cultures – inside and outside
- Motivation to get involved in an interprofessional team and participate in a holistic day school
- Openness to plan and develop your lessons for age-mixed classes in a team
- A positive, resilient personality with high social skills and class leadership skills

About us
The Nordstern Day School at Thurgauerstrasse 55 has established itself as a modern learning and living space since its opening in August 2024. It has a wide range of usable, bright and open spaces, in which the multi-professional team with the children shapes the day school everyday life. Teachers participate 45 minutes at least once a week in the midday care and the caregivers support the lessons.
The school places an emphasis on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD): As a FreiDay school, the children are involved in their own projects with the 17 sustainability goals of the UN. Mixed-age classes and a strong participation of students promote self-responsibility and self-efficacy. Portfolio and coaching talks instead of grades, 90-minute teaching blocks, instead of 45-minute subject lessons: We try to do things differently to accommodate the learning of all children.
