Shape the future of oncology at Zurich City Hospital
Medical oncology and hematology have developed into independent, highly specialized disciplines in recent years. In order to meet this development as well as the increasing demands on patient care, research and teaching, the two departments at the Zurich City Hospital will in future be led by their own chief medical officers.
For this challenging key position, we are looking for an entrepreneurial and visionary leader. In this role, you will be responsible for and shape the strategic, professional and cross-locational development of oncology at the Zurich City Hospital and, together with the Head of Hematology, will shape the future of modern, university cancer medicine.
Tasks
- Professional, strategic and personnel management of medical oncology at a center hospital with several locations
- Ensuring and continuously developing high-quality, evidence-based care for patients with solid tumor diseases
- Establishment and further development of sub-specialized oncological focuses as well as strengthening positioning of the department
- Promotion of precision soncology, molecular diagnostics and personalised therapy concepts in close cooperation with internal and external partners
- Close interdisciplinary cooperation with tumor center, organ centers, pathology, radiology and other clinical disciplines
- Partnership and equal cooperation with the chief physician in strategic, organizational and medical issues
- Establishment and maintenance of cooperation with university centers as well as active participation in research, teaching and clinical networks
Profile
- Medical oncology (FMH)
- Proven clinical expertise in the treatment of solid tumour diseases with broad experience across multiple tumour entities
- Key competence in visceral or uro-oncology is advantageous
- In-depth understanding of current developments in precision soncology, molecular diagnostics, genetic counselling and immunological and cellular therapies
- Several years of leadership and management experience at the cadre level at a university or center hospital leadership training
- Experience in the development, further development and positioning of specialized clinical structures as well as in cross-location organizational forms
- Pronounced social competence, authentic appearance and the ability for collegial and consensus-oriented cooperation in the two-head doctor model with hematology
- Habilitation and proven commitment to research and teaching
