We are looking for one head of house service and technology for the Kügelilo Day School on 01 January 2027 or by appointment.

Tasks

• Personal and professional management of the home service team, including staff assessment, operational planning and responsibility for occupational safety in school.
• Overall responsibility for the operation, maintenance and maintenance of the entire school system, including technical equipment, machinery and furniture, as well as for the handling of faults, defects and emergencies.
• Responsibility for all cleaning processes and the maintenance of the outdoor facilities, in particular maintenance and basic cleaning, the maintenance of the break place and the guarantee of the winter service.
• Organisation and provision of infrastructure for school events and for external use during school operation.
• School security officer.
• Close cooperation with the school management, the school team and urban authorities (e.g. school office, real estate, green city of Zurich) and participation in meetings.

Profile

• Completed manual and technical vocational apprenticeship with specialist pass in-housekeeper as well as sound experience in the building technology and in the handling of complex controls.
• Multi-annual professional and management experience, ideally in the school environment, combined with high service orientation and resilience.
• High-quality social and communication skills, especially in dealing with a multilingual team, as well as the joy of working with school leaders, school teams and students in a lively school operation.
• Good IT user knowledge and a secure handling of internal programs (e.g. peps.NET).
• Very good German knowledge in word and writing.

About us

The city of Zurich is divided into seven school districts. The Zurich-Glattal School District comprises the Affoltern, Seebach and Oerlikon districts. Around 7200 children are taught in the 19 schools.

The school is based in Kügeliloo, Zurich North, in the Oerlikon district. The school complex comprises 17 primary and 3 kindergarten classes in day school operation and a sports hall. The school also includes other kindergartens and hoards in the district.

The versatile school complex has in addition to the classrooms various office and group rooms as well as spacious outdoor facilities. Individual areas of the complex are also used by clubs in the evening.

The Head of Home Service & Technology leads a team of eleven employees in the functions of professional/woman company maintenance, removal agents (association supervisor) and cleaning workers.
