Would you like to play a key role in a leading Swiss company known for its expertise in specialised civil engineering? Do you love to control the technical strategy, accompany engineers and participate in complex large-scale projects, such as the multi-track expansion of Zurich-Winterthur? In this position, you are at the heart of the unit’s technical performance.

Their role

As Head: In the Technical Office, you are responsible for the technical expertise of the unit. They support the head of the unit in strategic decisions in the technical area and accompany the technical head of execution directly in the realization of complex projects.

Their main tasks

• Technical project planning: Independent processing and dimensioning of entrepreneurial variants for excavations, foundations, underpinnings and water holdings
• Strategy & Leadership: Determination and control of the technical strategy as well as professional support and further development of the team
• Work preparation & calculation: Development of technical solutions and execution methods to support the calculation phase
• Quality & Standards: Ensuring compliance with SIA standards, SUVA requirements and internal standards, and monitoring the quality of calculations and plans
• Innovation: Promoting new technologies (e.g. BIM), process and device optimization
• Representation: Representation of the company towards builders, planners, geologists and authorities as well as active maintenance of customer contacts

Your profile

• Civil engineering or geoengineering engineer (FH, ETH or equivalent)
• In-depth experience (10+ years desirable) in the planning and realization of challenging civil engineering projects in Switzerland
• Excellent knowledge of Swiss construction practice and relevant SIA standards
• Natural leadership skills, communication strength and entrepreneurial, solution-oriented thinking
• Mastery of special software (DC software, Plaxis, Cubus, Autocad), knowledge of SAP and BIM are advantageous
• German and French in word and writing, English skills are advantageous
