Are you fascinated by the connection between self-employed sales, well-founded clarifications and contact with different people? Would you like to use your experience in property and liability insurance to find fair and sustainable solutions for our customers even in demanding situations?

In this role, you will deal with complex claims cases in general liability – such as company and private liability – as well as in various types of non-life insurance. You accompany the cases from the first investigation to the conclusion, assess cover and liability and conduct negotiations with all parties involved.

You are regularly travelling in the Zurich region, visiting damage locations and clarifying matters directly on site. With your confident appearance, your negotiating skills and your understanding of the situation of those affected, you create trust – even if interests are different. At the same time, you take decisions on your own responsibility and ensure careful and efficient damage processing.

What you do

• You handle complex claims in property and general liability insurance independently – from claim notification to conclusion.

• You clarify matters with insurance companies, injured parties, experts, lawyers and insurance companies and visit damage locations in the Zurich region.

• You assess insurance coverage, liability and scope of damage, document your clarifications and make decisions within your competences.

• You negotiate with all parties involved, coordinate the necessary measures and initiate damage payments.

• You examine opportunities for recourse, work with internal specialist offices and external partners and ensure clear, timely communication.

What you bring

• You have an education in insurance; a professional card insurance or a degree from a high school insurance is an advantage.

• You have at least five years of professional experience in handling claims, ideally in property and/or general liability insurance.

• You will bring in-depth knowledge in the coverage and liability assessment as well as experience in dealing with complex claims cases.

• You negotiate safely, perform convincingly even in demanding situations and find pragmatic and customer-oriented solutions.

• You work independently, structured and reliable, communicate very well in German and have good MS-Office skills
• Other language skills are an advantage.
