The Chair of Private, Economic and European Law and Comparative Law of Prof. Dr. Yeşim M. Atamer has an assistant position to fill. The research focus of the chair is on contract law, the harmonization of European contract law, national and international sales law, consumer law and the regulation of contract law. The assistant activity offers the opportunity to develop professionally and scientifically. In particular, it makes it possible to deepen material legal knowledge in the subject areas of the chair and to train the legal craft for practical activity. The international orientation of the chair also provides an opportunity to establish contacts with researchers from abroad. Time and a workplace are available for your own scientific work. The post shall be limited to one year with the possibility of renewal.
Tasks
The tasks include, in particular, participation in national and international research and publication projects as well as support for courses, examinations and the supervision of students. In addition, there is participation in the preparation and implementation of academic events. For scientific assistants, the writing of a dissertation is expressly desired. It is particularly encouraged to write dissertations comparatively and to complete a research stay abroad.
Profile
We are looking for employees who have a strong interest in the research focuses of the chair and scientific activity. You should have a good to very good legal master’s degree (first German state examination possible). A keen interest is desired for all areas of bond law, in particular for comparative studies and legal policy discussions. Perfect knowledge of German and a high linguistic veracity in words and writing are required, good knowledge of English and French is desired. Your profile is rounded off by independence, teamwork, willingness to perform, flexibility and reliability.
