Job start 1 January 2027 or by arrangement, temporary
The Chair of Vocational Education and Training conducts research on the relationship between education and employment, with a focus on continuing education and learning in different life and work contexts. In teaching, he is engaged in the BA Educational Science as well as in the MA degree programmes Educational Science, Education in the CV and vocational and business pedagogy as well as in the additional vocational education qualification. The position is limited to three years with an option of renewal.
Tasks
- Working on Habilitation
- Teaching as well as other teaching-related tasks in modules for vocational and continuing education
- Accompanying and assessing student work / examinations
- Publication and presentation activities
- Assumption of coordinating and organizational work at the chair
Profile
- Doctorate in Education
- Interest in the further development of your scientific profile in the field of employment-related education / further education and interest in developing your own research projects in this field
- In-depth knowledge of empirical research methods (qualitative and / or quantitative) and experience in carrying out research projects
- Experience in the independent conception and implementation of courses
- High affinity for theoretical questions in the intersection of education, work and society
- Openness to international and interdisciplinary perspectives
- Very good knowledge of German and English and willingness to use both languages as working languages
- Knowledge of vocational and continuing education in Switzerland or willingness to acquire it
