The Office for Youth and Vocational Counselling Canton of Zurich, office of the districts of Affoltern, Dietikon, Horgen, runs a regional office for school social work. On behalf of schools, she is responsible for the personnel, professional and administrative management of school social workers. In order to ensure a low-threshold school social work offer, the jobs are located in the individual school communities. For the primary school Affoltern am Albis we are looking for a school social worker on 1 January 2027 or by agreement. They advise and accompany children, adolescents, parents and teachers in educational and social matters. In the area of child protection and child welfare, you are familiar. In crises and conflicts, you perform interventions in classes and groups. As far as possible, you also do prevention and project work. In addition, you will work with the school team and other specialist departments. For this task, we require a completed education in social work at the university of applied sciences. Some years of professional experience in school social work or in the socio-educational field with children and adolescents are desired. They have competences in consulting, prevention, crisis intervention and project work as well as an independent and interdisciplinary working method.
