Main responsibilities
- We are looking for an internationally recognized personality with proven clinical expertise in palliative medicine as well as experience in managing clinical structures and interprofessional teams.
- The future position holder is to strategically develop the University Centre for Palliative Care, strengthen the integration of palliative medicine competences into different clinical disciplines and actively shape the regional and supraregional networking of palliative care.
- An independent, internationally visible scientific profile with regular publication activity and successful acquisition of competitive third-party funding is expected.
- The future position holder is to further expand research in the field of palliative medicine, in particular in health care research and in interdisciplinary research cooperations, and contribute to the national and international positioning of the Berne location.
- A strong commitment in student teaching as well as in the education, further and further education of health professionals is required.
- This includes the further development of palliative medicine teaching content in medical studies as well as the promotion of interprofessional training formats and the active support of young scientists.
- A habilitation or an equivalent academic track record as well as a specialist title with a focus on SIWF/FMH in the field of palliative medicine are required.
