Full description

As a Clinical Assistant, you take on a central and independent role in the coordination and implementation of clinical trials. They are responsible for the planning, organization and operational implementation of the study processes and ensure compliance with the study protocols.
You work closely with an interdisciplinary research team. Together you ensure high-quality data collection and optimal support for the study participants: inside.
The University Hospital Zurich is one of the largest hospitals in Switzerland. Our more than 8,600 employees and around 700 trainees work every day for the well-being of our patients. Tasks: • Plan, prepare, carry out and follow-up patient visits in clinical trials • Acquisition, transmission and follow-up of study data • Close cooperation with the multidisciplinary team • Performing study visits: collection of vital parameters (blood pressure, pulse, SpO2), height and weight, implementation and/or further processing of 6-minute walking tests, blood sampling, ECGs and lung function tests, preparation and administration of study medication, training of study participants to handle and independently administer the study drug, support of study participants in the collection of patient-reported outcomes (questionnaires), time and task-specific coordination with the study doctors • Active participation in training and meetings to maintain and expand expertise and understanding of new developments in clinical research Requirements • Completed training as a specialist Health / Specialist Health EFZ, medical practice assistant / medical practice assistant EFZ, or comparable medical training • Experience in conducting clinical trials and applicable ethical and regulatory requirements is beneficial • Joy of direct contact with patients: inside • Ability to work independently and responsibly • Organizational skill and multitasking ability • Flexibility in terms of requirements and priorities • High care and accuracy in data collection and documentation We offer: • An exciting and varied activity in a highly innovative research environment • Collaboration in an interdisciplinary and committed team • Training opportunities • Place of work at USZ Campus with regulated working hours
