In the field of data, technology and innovation, around 600 software and system developers work in Switzerland: in-house and develop the technology of tomorrow. We also collaborate in global teams and networks. We shape and integrate the latest tools, organize hackathons and our agile product teams run self-organized and are self-responsible from A to Z.
This is what awaits you
- You have a real interest in all tasks in our team to develop creative and innovative solutions together
- You develop the platform in the sense of DevOps and take care of a continuous improvement
- You will continuously design, develop and improve our cloud components, services and self-services for use cases and core infrastructure
- With a healthy eye measure for software quality and in compliance with our security guidelines and CI/CD driven deployment, you keep the quality high
- You see “technical debt” as a positive challenge
- You provide support and debugging for developers
You bring that with you
- You have a university degree (ETH, Uni, FH) in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Informatics or a comparable education
- You have experience and expertise in DevOps technologies such as Git, GitHub Actions and Docker, as well as creating CI/CD pipelines
- You have excellent programming skills in Python and are familiar with modern software development practices.
- You have excellent problem-solving skills, an attention to detail and an urge to automate everything and provide technically good solutions
- You can work independently on topics and have excellent communication and team skills
- Very good knowledge of German and English
The following points would also inspire us
- A data-friendly mindset for our analytics environment
- Familiarity with the Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience with Go, PyCharm, Visual Studio Code, JIRA, Confluence, Terraform, Bash
- Interest and willingness to learn about IT infrastructure topics such as security and network
- You are familiar with the use of AI tools (Claude Code, Codex, ...) when performing various tasks

Questions about this listing
What salary does AXA Svizzera offer for this role?
The original listing does not state a salary. Our estimate for this role and sector in Winterthur is CHF 79'000 - 134'500 gross per year — an estimate, not a figure communicated by AXA Svizzera. The calculator on this site converts a gross salary into your actual net take-home once cross-border tax and social contributions are applied.
Is this a full-time role, and what type of contract does AXA Svizzera offer?
This listing is a full-time position. The contract type shown here comes directly from the employer's original posting; always confirm exact hours, notice period and probation length with AXA Svizzera during the application process, since these details can vary by role even within the same contract category.
Do I need a cross-border work permit for a role in Zürich?
EU/EFTA residents living in the border zone of the country adjoining Canton Zürich can apply for a G permit; the Swiss employer files it with that canton's migration office after the contract is signed. Border-zone rules and processing times vary by neighbouring country and canton, so confirm the specifics with Zürich's cantonal migration office or with HR during the application.
