Education Directorate Vocational School Uster Department Head and member of the extended school management 80 - 100% The Vocational School Uster – Economics and Technology (BFSU) is the competence center for education and training in the professional fields of economics, automation, electronics and computer science. She is active in the implementation of the megatrend digitalization. Around 1500 apprentices complete their apprenticeship here or attain the vocational maturity. Together with the partner schools in the Uster Education Center, BFSU offers a diverse training program. About 200 teachers and lecturers teach in basic and further education. Your tasks

• Management of a faculty: management of the Department of Vocational Engineering (Automation, Electronics, Platform Development). ensuring operational school operations in compliance with quality management; act flexibly.
• Strategic development: Supporting the overall school management and the school commission in the strategic orientation of the school.
• Accompaniment of change processes: Prudent and goal-oriented implementation of changes with the involvement of teachers and employees.
• Development of teachers: Significant further development and individual support of the department as well as participation in personnel planning.
• Cooperation with other departments: Close cooperation, coordination and exchange support.
• maintenance of contacts: close exchange with external bodies
• Promote cooperation between learning locations.
• Teaching activity: bringing enthusiasm for teaching and learning in the classroom. Commitment to teaching: 10 weekly lessons. Your profile
• Completed studies or equivalent education
• Completed teaching diploma with additional training in vocational education for secondary education ll
• Additional education in school management, educational management or a comparable qualification
• Leadership and management experience in education, ideally at a vocational school
• Sound knowledge of the Swiss vocational training system
• High social skills and communication
• Strategic thinking coupled with implementation and decision-making ability
• Experience in School Development and Modern Leadership
• Very good knowledge of German in word and writing
• High degree of initiative and openness to change
• Technological affinity combined with digital competence and high willingness to learn
