Head of the Security and Health Service (SESA) — EPFL

Mission EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) is one of the most dynamic university campuses in Europe and is part of the world's top 20 academic rankings. In this dynamic and constantly evolving context, the Infrastructure, Security and Operations (SSE) domain is seeking a Chief of Service for the Conduct of the Safety and Health Service (SSSA). The Vice-President for Operations (VPO) ensures the proper functioning of the various EPFL campuses. This includes the management of restoration, human resources, information systems, security and operation of its sites, and the development and construction of its infrastructure. Its objective is to develop the potential of collaborators, and to deploy and operate smart and sustainable campuses, where the exchange of ideas with users is part of its values. To carry out these missions, the VPO relies in particular on the Domain Infrastructure, Security and Operations (DSE), which ensures the daily operation, security and development of the campus infrastructure. It is within this field that the Head of the Safety and Health Service (SESA) conducts the service bringing together, under the same direction, safety, safety at work, emergency response and health for the entire EPFL community. It defines and implements an integrated health and safety strategy in line with institutional objectives and the legal framework. Based on four units and around 40 collaborators, it guarantees emergency preparedness and management, compliance with occupational safety and health rules, operational security of infrastructure, personal safety, and the health of the EPFL community.
