Role overview

Mission For the student community as well as for EPFL student associations, the Student Relations Delegate (DP-RE) ensures dialogue with the student community and represents the interests of students.

It oversees the Office of Associative Affairs, whose mission is to accompany and support associations, maintain communication with them, provide them with relevant information and ensure their proper functioning.

The position is intended to support the DP-RE in carrying out its strategic and academic missions in connection with the student community and associations recognized by EPFL, as well as in the development of a student learning and living environment conducive to academic success, well-being and student engagement.

Main responsibilities

  • Main tasks and responsibilities Support for DP-RE activities
  • Participation in the definition and implementation of the student affairs strategy
  • Operational and financial management of the DP-RE unit and the service
  • Responsible for the correct definition, monitoring and implementation of the projects carried out within the DP-RE unit
  • Operational coordination with the Vice-Presidents and units in the leadership of EPFL who are responsible for the education and training of Bachelor, Master, and PhD students
  • Operational coordination with the Vice-President for Human Development
  • Represents the DP-RE in the Vice-President for Human Development (VHD)
  • HR management of the DP-RE unit administrative team
  • Operational management of the student affairs office
  • Operational support to the office for extracurricular learning activities
