Role overview
The Biodiversity and Landscape Division of the Directorate-General for the Environment is active in particular in the protection and management of biotopes in inventories, particularly marshes, batracian protection sites, alluvial forests, grasslands and dry pastures.
Since 2023, extensive work has been undertaken to revitalise biotopes of national importance, showing water-related malfunctions or which are considered excessive for the conservation of flora.
Two employees were hired on fixed-term contracts to specify, quantify and implement measures to be taken.
