Role overview
The Mobile Social Emergencies Unit (UMUS), composed of nurses and social workers, intervenes in situations mainly related to violence and insecurity in coordination with the Geneva social health network.
The team works in pairs and operates from 17:00 to 08:00 on weekdays and 24 hours on weekends and public holidays.

- Evaluate the nature of the request from a professional in the Geneva social and health network and respond to it as soon as possible or direct the situation towards a more suitable service
- Intervening and carrying out jointly with the social worker, a socio-sanitary assessment by providing in this analysis its clinical expertise by quickly assessing the somatic and psychological health of the user
Main responsibilities
- Evaluate the nature of the request from a professional in the Geneva social and health network and respond to it as soon as possible or direct the situation towards a more suitable service
- Intervening and carrying out jointly with the social worker, a socio-sanitary assessment by providing in this analysis its clinical expertise by quickly assessing the somatic and psychological health of the user
- Propose to the customer and his/her entourage ways to reduce the intensity of the crisis or emergency felt; offer him a listening and support, aimed at restoring immediately his balance and that of his entourage
- Take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of the user, his entourage and the intervention binome
- To carry out the written assessment of each intervention by giving an accurate account of the services offered and the solution(s) chosen by and for the user
- Evaluate the relevance of the management of each intervention
- Participate in colloquiums and supervisions in teams, outside intervention times
- Actively intervene in sessions with partners. Required Bachelor of Nursing in HEDS or equivalent
- CAS or DAS in a specialty related to specific care would be a plus Ability to manage crisis situations
- Affluence in mediation and ability to position itself in the face of various interlocutors
