Mission The Institute of Chemical Sciences and Engineering (ISIC, https://www.epfl.ch/schools/sb/research/isic/) of EPFL is looking for a laboratory in chemistry to work within the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Platform (ISIC-NMRP) and the Chemical Stores Platform (ISIC-CHSP). You will have the mission to support routine solid phase NMR analyses for EPFL research laboratories and other users of our platforms. You will be involved in the preparation of samples, measurements, troubleshooting and maintenance of instruments, and support to users. You will also contribute to the operation of the chemical stores of the ISIC (Lausanne and Sion). Since the user profile and nature of the activities are extremely varied, we are looking for an open, flexible and organized person who wants to work in a cosmopolitan and multicultural environment. Main tasks and responsibilities Activities within the NMR platform

• NMR analyses:
• Preparation of samples for solid NMR
• Implementation of solid routine NMR experiments
• Supervision of analyses on solid and liquid NMR automata
• Technical support to users for solid NMR analyses
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of analytical equipment
• Management of consumable stocks Activities within the Chemical Stores Platform
• Customer reception at the store and advice for the purchase of consumables and laboratory equipment.
• Receipt and distribution of goods (quality control and traceability)
• Store inventory, storage and cleanliness maintenance
• Support for special chemical waste treatment and administrative monitoring Profile
• Federal Certificate of Laboratory Capacity (FCC) in Chemistry or equivalent training.
• Prior experience in the field of analytical chemistry, in business or in the academic community, is an asset.
• Rigor, sense of organization, flexibility and adaptation to change.
• Strong team spirit while able to operate independently and take initiatives
• Excellent skills in open and constructive communication.
• Ability to work in multi-user service platforms and a cosmopolitan environment
• Mastery of standard IT tools
• Strong knowledge of written and spoken French and English is essential – required B2 level. We offer
