As a cantonal inspector for food security and consumption, you hold a key role in the Office of Consumer Affairs (OFCO), attached to the Department of Agriculture, Sustainability and Climate and Digital Affairs. A field manager and community manager, you coordinate and accompany the team of inspectors in carrying out official controls, inspections and monitoring of risks related to food safety and consumer protection. In close cooperation with the cantonal chemist and the alternate cantonal chemist, you contribute to the implementation of the Office's strategic guidelines and to the development of benefits. You guarantee a coherent, harmonised and demanding application of control practices, placing consumer safety at the heart of every action. A dynamic person, a federator and a power of proposal, you support teams in daily challenges and actively contribute to continuous service improvement.

• Direct, manage and animate the corps of food and objects inspectors and staff of the cantonal office of weights and measures (BCPM)
• Coordinate and ensure the technical and scientific activities for the protection of consumers of the inspection of foodstuffs and usual objects throughout the cantonal territory
• Anticipate and organize the continuing training of personnel of the bodies of food inspectors and common objects and staff of the cantonal office of weights and measures (BCPM)

• Master's degree in food science or in a field related to food security or equivalent
• Federal Diploma in Official Food Control (DCAL) and Federal Diploma in Official Food Control (DDCAL) - possibility of completing these trainings during the first two years of employment
• Field experience and in-depth knowledge in the area of food security for at least 5 years
• Recognized management training and/or experience
