We are looking for a Data Scientist and Data Visualization Engineer for the Directorate-General for Digital and Information Systems (DGNSI). Do you like to turn data into usable information and help develop innovative, reliable and useful solutions for the cantonal administration? Then join us!

Main missions

• In collaboration with the entity's method and tools expert, identify, collect, prepare and manage the data needed to meet the needs of the recipient entities
• Design and develop analytical and predictive models that transform data into usable information to improve administration services and processes
• Impulse, value and communicate analytical results in order to maximize the value created by the data and foster a data-driven culture.
• Ensure that analytical solutions are reliable, well documented, secure and consistent with cantonal governance and data protection policies
• Contribute to the development of innovation and the promotion of a culture of data and artificial intelligence within the cantonal administration

Profile sought

• Bachelor in Data, Statistics, Applied Mathematics Sciences or equivalent
• Proven professional experience in developing analytical models and producing ML/AI solutions,
• Technical skills required: data transformation tools (Talend, ETL/ELT, etc.), Python (pandas, TensorFlow, PyTorch), visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
• Solid experience in IT project management (Agile Methodology)
• Analytical spirit with strong scientific rigour
• Excellent outreach and communication capabilities
• Demonstrate a spirit of mutual support and collaboration
• High capacity to adapt to the understanding of the public computer environment
• Level B2 or equivalent in English Special penalty payments:
• Technical penalty (piquet) for incident resolution
• Domiciliation in Switzerland and Police accreditation are required
