As a Safety & Health Manager, you will be responsible for developing the S&H strategy and leading its implementation. You will guide the site's leadership team on all Safety and Health aspects and strengthen safety leadership at all levels of the organization. You will also be responsible for maintaining and reviewing the site's S&H management systems in compliance with international standards and norms.
How will you make an impact as a Safety & Health Manager?
- Identify S&H priorities and opportunities, develop the strategy and ensure its implementation
- Advise, coach and support site management, managers and project teams, and strengthen safety leadership at all levels of the organization
- Build strong relationships with contractors on S&H matters throughout the projects
- Implement, monitor and ensure the maintenance of ISO certifications and their integration with quality ISO / OSHAS standards
- Participate in risk analyses, monitor non-conformities, audits and any accidents and near misses, analyze the causes and develop corrective measures
- Establish information and communication tools and prevention campaigns
- Ensure process compliance, proactively comply with and enforce the policy, regulations and instructions related to workplace safety and health.
What will make you successful
- Higher education or qualified professional training
- CFST Safety Engineer, Federal STPS Certificate or equivalent qualification recognized in Switzerland
- Significant experience in the fields of safety and health in a production environment
- Proven experience in line management, project management or cross-functional team management
- Proficiency in ISO and OSHAS standards and the Swiss legal framework
- Influential leadership, excellent coaching and communication skills
- Ability to translate standards into concrete action plans and analyze complex problems
- Initiative and ability to promote a culture of safety and operational excellence
- Fluency in French and English.
