- Contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the Area and ensure the implementation of EPFL's culture, by planning activities, organizing their execution and motivating the collaborators attached to the service.

- Contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the Area and ensure the implementation of EPFL's culture, by planning activities, organizing their execution and motivating the collaborators attached to the service.
- Ensure the strategic and operational conduct of the service, using its four units and approximately 40 collaborators.
- Develop and implement the School's safety, security and health strategy, consistent with the applicable legal framework and guidelines.
- Ensure the implementation and continuity of occupational safety and health, safety (access control, site monitoring, personal protection), event safety and fire protection.
- Lead crisis preparedness and coordination: emergency plans, evacuation exercises, alarm management centre, coordination with emergency authorities and partners.
- Attend as a specialist during incidents at EPFL sites.
- Supervising occupational health and safety: risk assessment, accident prevention, monitoring of working conditions, regulatory compliance and training.
- Ensure the development and conduct of EPFL's concept of prevention and health.
- Conduct of the Health Centre: occupational health, health reception, prevention campaigns, occupational hygiene and medical supervision of emergency responders.
