Role overview

At the heart of the integrated management of surface waters and lakes and streams, in the Water Resources and Hydraulic Economics Division (WED-Water), Watercourse and Lakeshore Developments Section, in the Natural Resources and Heritage Directorate, as Project Manager, you have the following tasks:

Carrying out projects to develop streams and lake banks both for flood protection and revitalization

Managing large river correction enterprises (FTEs) for large one or more watershed scale projects

Main responsibilities

  • A sense of public service responsibilities and ethics, a spirit of mutual assistance and collaboration.
  • Interest in environmental issues.
  • Position in the Cantonal Administration of Vaud (State of Vaud), Switzerland.

Key requirements

  • Diploma in engineering EPFL or HES in the fields of civil engineering, river hydraulics, environmental science, nature management or equivalent, supplemented by a minimum of 5 years' professional experience in the field of stream development and project monitoring.
